Last year, my twin boys dressed up as Fry and Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama. Zoidberg is a couple posts before this one. Wow, how active I've been on here,....
This year, for Halloween 2016, both boys want to dress up as Sans.
I'm not very familiar with this one. All I know is he's from a game called Undertale and my kids are fans. No problem though, that's what the internet's for.
It was brought up if I could possibly make a mask of San's brother, Papyrus, but he seems to be a little more work. They decided on normal and hard mode Sans, instead.

Did some research and found this really cool and simple tutorial on making the mask.
Since it's the one I used, credit and thanks goes to DeluCat!

Following the video, the first thing was to make 2 (4, in my case) paper mache spheres with balloons, newspaper and glue made of flour and water.
Last time I did something like this was when I made a pinata in 7th grade Spanish.

After letting it dry for 24 hours, we (my husband helped) cut to proper size, hot glued them together, then I proceeded to work on the face design and more cutting.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The next step was to add an air dry type of clay to form the mouth. Was delayed a few days, but back on track. Make sure the nose is cut prior to this. I almost forgot. Will take care of that before the casting.
"sup?"
--------------------------------------------------------------
The first coast ended up cracking a bit around the bottom and eyes. It took about three coats to get it to my liking then, we sanded them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the spray painting part was done, now time for adding the eyes and painting the details.
The boys specifically asked me to only color his left eye. The red one had cracks and unfortunately warped a bit when adding the plaster. Due to that, I was delayed with having to add extra coats and forming it back as best as possible.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the end, it still fits and looks good. I'm proud.
